For the second time in History, there will be ferry service from Mackinaw City to Mackinac Island starting April 1! The Service includes a free Mackinac Bridge Tour on Mackinac Old Time Trolley and free luggage transport for passengers if needed. Please book the April Ferry option on our site or purchase tickets at participating hotels. (As always, the ferry can not run during inclement weather)

On April 1, 2018 River City Renegades Roller Derby league will host a triple header event:

1st game is at 1 PM with the visiting team Michigan vs team Michigan! "A" team skaters from all over Michigan are playing each other!

2nd game is at 4:00 pm with the visiting teams from Dead River Derby's team Rolling Riptide from Marquette, Michigan vs Traverse City Roller Derby's Toxic Cherries!

3rd game is at 7:00 mp with your hosts, the River City Renegades vs Bath City Roller Girls from Lapeer, Michigan's team the "Bathtub Betties".

During this weekend in Mackinaw City over 400 cast members will re-create events that took place between the French, British and Indian tribes, on June 2, 1763. This historically rich event will take place for the 51st consecutive year. The Fort Michilimackinac Pageant is the longest running, free historical Memorial Day performance in the Nation. Visitors will meet famous Indian Chiefs: Miniavavan and Matchekewis of the Ojibwa tribe, and Wawatam who becomes a blood brother to Alexander Henry and later saves his life.

Put your running shoes on and meet us in Mackinaw City for the 14th Annual Mackinaw Memorial Day Bridge Race! This is a unique opportunity as only two times a year runners are allowed to run the "Mighty Mac" ! The other possibility, being the Fall Colors Bridge Run held in October 2017. Runners must register in advance and be able to run a minimum of 12 minutes per mile to race in the event. Time: 6:00am to 12:00pm

A brief and informal Memorial Day observance at Fort Mackinac Post Cemetery on Mackinac Island, to pay tribute to the soldiers who served at Fort Mackinac. Soldiers will assemble at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Mackinac. They will march to the cemetery, perform a short ceremony and salute, and return to the fort. Open to the public.
