The Fort Michilimackinac Pageant is the longest running, free historical Memorial Day performance in the Nation. Visitors will meet famous Indian Chiefs: Miniavavan and Matchekewis of the Ojibwa tribe, and Wawatam who becomes a blood brother to Alexander Henry and later saves his life.

An American automotive classic, the Corvette, will be celebrated the weekend before Labor Day weekend during the Annual Corvette Crossroads Auto Show.

Beginning Friday, Corvettes of various vintages will begin arriving in the area, cruising and getting registered for Saturday’s festivities. On Saturday, hundreds of Corvettes will be on display in Mackinaw City from 10am to 2 pm. A poker walk for show participants will also be offered during the day.

Peoples choice style of judging will determine winners in several different award classes. Winners will be announced at an awards presentation at 3 pm. Saturday’s festivities will culminate with a parade of Corvettes across the Mackinac Bridge, beginning at 7 pm. All Corvettes are welcome and there is a nominal fee for non show registered vettes.

We have a capacity of 3,000 participants running and walking the inside trails of Mackinac Island during the last open weekend of the season. All who register will enjoy special race features – commemorative medals, race apparel in Great Turtle fashion, special Halloween events for adults and kids!

Location The Great Turtle Half Marathon will start directly in front of the Mission Point Resort. The 5.7 Mile Run and Walk will start directly in front of the Straights Lodge of the Mission Point Resort, at the corner of Wendall St. and Mission St.
